Happy Gilmore 2 Hits Netflix After Nearly 30 Years

After 29 years, the iconic Adam Sandler film has made a comeback.

Happy Gilmore 2 has officially arrived on Netflix, receiving mixed reviews.

The movie follows a retired Happy Gilmore who returns to golf after a tragic incident, hoping to pay for his daughter's ballet classes. She is played by Sandler's real-life daughter, Sunny Sandler.

"We thought it could be fun to write something like that," Sandler told the AP. "It kind of connected to our lives and this age, and wanting to make a full-on comedy. There's nothing better than dropping a comedy and trying to make people laugh, to us. It feels like why we originally got into the business."

Many reviews praise the film for being family-friendly and full of laughs. Some say Happy Gilmore 2 cleverly reimagined jokes from the original movie with a fresh twist.

However, not everyone was impressed. Critics argue that the film relies too heavily on celebrity cameos, and some feel that Happy's character doesn't quite capture the spirit of the original.
