Your Guide to Staying Safe at the Fest
Whether you’re here to catch headliners or discover your next favorite artist, safety comes first at Lollapalooza this week. The festival team works closely with Chicago’s Public Safety agencies and federal partners to protect everyone in Grant Park, with visible police, security, and fire staff on-site.
Entry Checkpoints
Expect an airport-style security search. Want to be screened by someone of your same gender?
Just ask. Kids? Parental consent is required.
Bag Policy
- Clutch or fanny packs (under 6"x9")
- Clear bags (under 12"x6"x12")
- Hydration packs? Allowed—if empty and under 2 pockets
- Bring an EMPTY water bottle to fill at hydration stations.

Weapons, glass containers, outside food or drinks, umbrellas, and professional cameras.
Prescription Meds?

The SAFEFEST team, medical tents, and pole markers can guide you to assistance.
Mental Health & Harassment Resources

In Case of Evacuation
Know your closest exit and check the app or @Lollapalooza socials for updates.
This is your festival, so stay alert, hydrate often, protect your ears, and take care of each other.
