Slash Isn’t Convinced

The Sphere in Las Vegas might be redefining live music, but Slash isn’t convinced it’s the right fit for Guns N’ Roses.

During an interview on Eddie Trunk’s Trunk Nation on SiriusXM, Slash admitted he hasn’t been to a show at The Sphere yet even with all the hype surrounding its massive visuals and high-tech setup. While artists like U2, Phish, the Eagles, and Dead & Company have already turned the futuristic venue into a spectacle, Slash isn’t sure a true rock show belongs there.

He explained, “It’s not really rock and roll friendly, the way that it’s set up.” He added that the experience feels more focused on visuals than the raw energy of a live band.

Still, Slash left the door open. He said he’d be curious to see what happens if a heavier act like Metallica takes it on. For now, though, Slash thinks Guns N’ Roses will keep things the old-school way.
