Dogs Zapped While Walking in Chicago

Chicago dog owners are on high alert after multiple dogs were electrically shocked while out for walks over the weekend, per ABC NEWS 7 CHICAGO.

Two incidents happened in River North on North Dearborn Street. One dog stepped on a manhole and was taken to the vet in good condition. Another dog was also shocked in the same area, but its condition is unknown.

Over in Tri-Taylor, Noah Price's 3-year-old dog, Boris, was shocked after brushing up against a light pole near Claremont Park. Boris collapsed, started seizing, and yelped before Price pulled him away and rushed him to the vet. After seven hours under observation, Boris is stable but could have long-term effects.

Pet owners are urged to stay cautious near metal objects on sidewalks. Authorities are investigating the cause of these dangerous shocks.

According to ABC7.
