Christkindlmarket Back at Wrigleville

Wrigleyville is about to get festive again.

After skipping last year to make room for the NHL Winter Classic, the Christkindlmarket is officially coming back to Gallagher Way at Wrigley Field for the 2025 holiday season, organizers announced this week (per Block Club Chicago).

Running Nov. 23–Dec. 31, the Wrigleyville market will once again transform Gallagher Way into a holiday wonderland, complete with 25+ local and international vendors, an ice skating rink, and a tree lighting ceremony.

Visitors can shop hand-crafted gifts, enjoy bratwurst and roasted nuts, and sip glühwein (my favorite when it's cold outside) or hot chocolate from the market’s famous collectible mugs.

The Downtown Daley Plaza Christkindlmarket kicks off first with a preview night on Nov. 20 and opens officially Nov. 21–Dec. 24, featuring 55+ vendors and live performances.

The suburban Aurora market also returns, giving Chicagoans plenty of spots to celebrate.

As always, admission is free. Hours vary by location, with Wrigleyville staying open later on Fridays and Saturdays to capture the nightlife energy of the neighborhood.

“Each location has its own unique charm,” organizers said, “but the magic of Christkindlmarket ties them all together.”
