Bill Kelliher paid an emotional tribute to his late Mastodon bandmate Brent Hinds on Instagram.
He wrote about their journey together, “We had our good and bad times just like in any relationship. All that we accomplished after that first fistfight in the van 25 years ago.”
Brent was more than a bandmate, he was family. Bill called him a true one-of-a-kind guitar wizard and a wild man who could wreck a bowling ball with a feather. “You weren’t perfect but you were always DIRTY-B,” Bill added.
Through his music, Brent’s gypsy, untamed spirit lives on. Bill’s heartfelt online tribute shows the bond they shared and how much he’ll miss his crazy-ass Manimal.
