Mark Zuckerberg has unveiled the Meta Ray-Ban Display, Meta’s first consumer-ready smart glasses with a built-in display, priced at $799. The glasses feature a small digital screen controlled by hand gestures through the Meta Neural Band, an EMG-powered wristband.
They blend classic Ray-Ban style with cutting-edge tech, letting users watch videos, view texts, and more without blocking their vision. The display vanishes when not in use.
Meta also announced two more smart glasses: the Oakley Meta Vanguard for $499, built for high-intensity sports with 3K video capture and Garmin watch connectivity, and the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) for $379, offering double the battery life and 3K Ultra HD video.
Zuckerberg called the Display glasses “the first AI glasses with a high-resolution display and a fully weighted neural band.” The $799 glasses hit U.S. shelves on September 30.
