Say Goodbye: Rock Band 4

Rock Band 4 will be delisted this weekend. Harmonix confirmed the decision comes as the game hits its 10th anniversary on October 5, 2025.

The reason is simple: the core soundtrack licenses have expired.

If you already own the game, you’re safe. Players will keep access and can still download both the base game and any purchased DLC. But songs will start disappearing as their 10-year licenses run out.

That begins with the 22 tracks released on launch day, including Babymetal’s “Gimme Chocolate,” Duran Duran’s “The Reflex,” Linkin Park’s “Rebellion,” Pantera’s “Cowboys From Hell,” and others.

In total, 748 songs were released as DLC. The last three—“Wherever You Will Go,” “Send Me on My Way,” and “Thank You”—arrived in January 2024.

Assuming the same 10-year deal, the final track will vanish on January 24, 2034.

Harmonix has since shifted its focus to Fortnite Festival, leaving Rock Band 4’s legacy in player hands. Per Game Informer
