Toyota has recently unveiled "Mobi", an electric pod car for children. At the Japan Mobility Show, which took place from October 30th through November 9th, this "bubble car" was on display.
According to reports from DesignBoom:
"The electric bubble car for kids is shaped like a small, spaceship-inspired pod. The adults come in when they open the door, which swings upward, and let their child step in and sit. The prototype uses AI to drive itself, and the system controls the direction, speed, and movement in the traffic. As soon as the child is strapped in, they can talk to the AI assistant called UX Friend, which gives the young driver friendly instructions on how to ‘drive’ the autonomous pod as well as talk to them throughout the ride."
